TOKYO - NKK Corporation and Kawasaki Steel Corporation, responding to media reports appearing today, announced that they have not reached any basic agreement with ThyssenKrupp Steel AG in ongoing negotiations regarding a possible global strategic collaboration. The companies previously announced that they had entered into discussions on April 23, 2001. Presently, the discussions are focused on collaboration mainly in the field of automotive steel. |
