On April 1, NKK promoted Mineo Shimura, former executive vice president of NKK America, Inc., to the post of president. He will concurrently serve as general manager of the New York office and president of NUF (NKK U.S.A. Finance). He succeeds Fujio Ono who has returned to Japan to become director of Adchemco Corporation, NKK's chemical manufacturing subsidiary.
