Water Slides Added to Recreation Park
in Shikoku

Nanrec Misho Recreation Park, located in southern Ehime Prefecture on Japan's western island of Shikoku, reopened on June 29 with the addition of two large water slides that were constructed by NKK. The Ehime local municipality awarded the contract to NKK for supply of water slides and splashdown, filtering and pumping systems.

The Misho recreation park features a variety of water entertainment, including wave and lazy-river pools as well as straight-line slides, all of which were constructed by NKK. As part of its facility expansion plans, the park decided to add two unique water slides—a "free-fall" with a maximum grade of 45 degrees (11m difference in elevation) and a 72m spiral "body-slide".

NKK's Leisure Facilities Department has designed and constructed a variety of water and snow leisure facilities for local municipalities and private-sector developers nationwide. The company hopes to secure further contracts by offering a wide range of creative facilities that will serve community and redevelopment needs.
